What we do
Rescuing your Lawn & Garden
Full Lawn Servicing & fixing
If your lawn looks tired and need to be revived, Lawn Guru team can suggest and implement a renovation program that can revitalize your lawn.
We structure our renovations around your budget and your desired outcome.
Aerating the soil by coring it will relieve compaction and will improve water infiltration which allows grass roots to get the oxygen and space to grow.
Scarifying the lawn means removing thatch or the cumulation of dead grass roots and shoots. This improves the lawn immensely.
Thatch is one of the main causes of a lawn dying.
Excess thatch stops water from penetrating (Dry patch) and encourages favourable conditions for soil pests and diseases. Over-sowing your tired lawn incorporates new seed to the area to fill in any bare patches.
Why does thatch occur?
Grass are always growing and dying. The roots and shoots as they die build up on top of the soil surface. The surface then gets higher and higher.
Other reasons thatch occur could be over watering/over fertilising or not catching grass clippings.
Let Lawn Gurus explain and implement the best watering / fertilising and mowing practices for your green space.
Upgrading Irrigation Systems
After a while, your irrigation systems may need to be upgraded. This could be due to plants getting too big and blocking sprinklers or it may be that areas on your lawn are drying out as sprinklers don’t have the necessary coverage. We can suggest changes to improve your lawn and to improve better water usage. We can also fix any broken system.

This is a renovation practice the Lawn Guru does best. It’s our second step when renovating your lawn.
The process involves power raking out the dead roots and grass that makeup what we call Thatch.
Thatch is very damaging to all good lawns. Thatch basically chokes your lawn slowly to death.
It affects water getting into the soil. Stops grassroots getting into the soil. Causes lawns to dry out.
Increase the chance of fungal and insect damage. Without controlling, thatch lawns will eventually yellow and die.
Removing the thatch
Sometimes lawns need serious work to keep them at their best.
Increased thatch levels need to be dealt with. Here we strip the top layer then remove thatch and place the good turf back.
Removing thatch
Keeping current lawns in place is another method for smaller plots.
